14 DAY TENTED MOBILE SAFARI NAMIBIA  (Book Now)

Tented Mobile Safari in exclusive camps through Namibia. Allow the safari crew to set up camp, prepare meals for you and expertly guide you through the African bushveld.

14 Days - Windhoek - Etosha National Park - Owamboland - Kaokoland - Epupa Falls - Himba village - - Damaraland - Twyfelfontein - Swakopmund - Moon landscape - Namib-Naukluft National Park - Sossusvlei -  Windhoek

Info:

Accommodation: 11 nights standard mobile safari with 2 nights hotel / guest house accommodation. Tents & Equipment:
- 2-person spacious dome tent (L2.75m x W2.75m x H1.90m) with built in groundsheet.
- 2 large aerating windows with mosquito netting.
- 2 Camp beds with foam Mattresses, sleeping bags / bed rolls & small pillows.
- Safari folding chair.
- Botswana - Toilet tents with seated toilet.
- Botswana - Shower tent with warm bucket shower.
- A large marquee tent (5m x 5m) is used for shade.
Meals:
- 3 wholesome meals each day with dinner served around the campfire.
- Tea and coffee available in camp.
- Not Included: Alcoholic beverages and soft drinks. These can be purchased at the start of the safari.
Group Size: - 2-14 clients.
- Scheduled departures, or any date on a private tailor made safaris between November and June.
Price Includes: 11 Nights camping with camp bed, mattress, sleeping bag and small pillow. All meals when camping. 2 nights hotel / guesthouse accommodation in Swakopmund and Windhoek with breakfast. Airport transfers.
Price Excludes : Flights, Airport Taxes, visas, lunches and dinners in Windhoek and Swakopmund. Items of a personal nature, Gratuities.

14 DAY - TENTED MOBILE SAFARI NAMIBIA

Day 1: WINDHOEK

Windhoek, with its lingering heritage of German architecture, activities and atmosphere is a city, which can be visited throughout the year. The day is spent at leisure. We are met by our guide at the hotel reception for a briefing at +/- 18h00.

Day 2 - 4: ETOSHA NATIONAL PARK

This Park is one of the most important reserves and game sanctuaries in Africa. Thousands of wild animals are attracted to the area, including lions, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, elephants, several species of antelopes, zebras, giraffes, etc. The birdlife is prolific with 326-recorded species. We enjoy early morning and late afternoon game drives.

Day 5: OWAMBOLAND

We drive through 'Owamboland', which consists of communal farming land of the Oshiwambo people. Driving by, we pass women carrying water back to their houses, while others wash and children splash around to cool off. We stop to view a giant Baobab tree that once functioned as a church. We visit the Uukwaluudhi Royal Homestead where we can experience the daily life of the village.

Day 6 & 7: KAOKOLAND, HIMBA, EPUPA FALLS

The Epupa Falls are a series of cascades where the Kunene River drops 60m in 1.5km forming a multitude of channels and rock pools. A variety of birds occur in the area. We visit a Himba village to familiarize ourselves with their way of life.

Day 8: DAMARALAND

An early morning drive takes us to our camp in Damaraland. The changing colours of the surrounding landscapes are enjoyed on a guided walk with explanations of the unique flora and geology of the area.

Day 9: TWYFELFOTEIN - BRANDBERG

We visit the Twyfelfontein area with walks to view the ancient Bushman rock engravings, Organ Pipes, and the Burnt Mountain. We camp at the foot of the Brandberg Mountain, which is the highest mountain in Namibia.

Day 10: SWAKOPMUND

On our way to Swakopmund, we visit Cape Cross Seal Colony, one of the largest mainland seal colonies in the world. Swakopmund, with its German colonial atmosphere, is the principal coastal resort of Namibia. Time is spent at leisure to enjoy the charm of this old town or to undertake one of the many optional activities on offer (at own expense).

Day 11: NAMIB NAUKLUFT PARK - MOON LANDSCAPE

Morning spent in Swakopmund to enjoy optional activities or just relax in this small town. After lunch (own account) we depart to the Namib-Naukluft Park. Enroute we visit the Moon landscape and we stop to view the unusual prehistoric Welwitschia plant. Our exclusive camp in the desert under the bright stars of the southern hemisphere will create a lasting impression.

Day 12 - 13: NANIB DESERT - SOSSUSVLEI

Our journey takes us south to the heart of the Namib Desert. The following morning is an early departure for Sossusvlei stopping in the dune belt to enjoy the changing colours of the world's highest sand dunes. The morning is spent walking amongst the dunes of Sossusvlei and Deadvlei. En-route back to camp we enjoy a short hike through the Sesriem Canyon

Day 14: WINDHOEK

We depart arrive in Windhoek in the early afternoon +-13h00.
